Section 504 / ADA (Disability Rights)

Siembra Leadership High School is committed to providing equal access and opportunity to all students, families, employees, and community members with disabilities in accordance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and applicable New Mexico law.

Siembra does not discriminate on the basis of disability in admission, access to, treatment in, or participation in its educational programs, services, or activities.

Rights

Students with disabilities are entitled to accommodations and services designed to meet their individual needs as adequately as the needs of non-disabled students.

Grievance

Individuals may file a complaint with the Section 504 Coordinator if they believe their rights have been violated.

Student Accommodations and Support

Students who have a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities may be eligible for protections and services under Section 504.

Siembra provides reasonable accommodations and ensures that qualified students with disabilities have access to educational opportunities comparable to those provided to students without disabilities.
