Title IX

Albuquerque Public Schools is committed to maintaining an educational and work environment free from discrimination based on sex, including sexual harassment, sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, and stalking, in accordance with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972. Questions or concerns regarding Title IX may be directed to the district’s Title IX Coordinator. Reports of sex discrimination or sexual harassment may be submitted at any time using the contact information listed below.

How to File a Complaint

Individuals who believe they have been subjected to discrimination or harassment under Title IX may file a complaint with the school’s Title IX Coordinator. Complaints may be submitted in person, by mail, by email, or by any other means that results in the Coordinator receiving the complaint.

Grievance Process

The school will respond promptly and equitably to all complaints. The grievance process includes an investigation, review of evidence, and resolution. Both parties will be treated fairly throughout the process.

Retaliation Statement

Retaliation against individuals for reporting or participating in an investigation is strictly prohibited.
